Versus fixed-price development

A fixed-price project, and the software's life after delivery

A fixed-price project delivers software on a date. We put a use case into service, then we maintain it.

The strengths of a fixed-price project

For a single, one-off, well-bounded need, the fixed-price project is the simplest form, and ownership of the code is negotiated in the contract.

Our answer to the same need

Going live has a price settled in advance, and ongoing service is a monthly subscription, cancellable at any time.

When a format changes or an interface closes, the change is deployed without a new scoping and without stopping the service.

The cases where the fixed-price project wins

When the need is one-off and will not move again: the subscription pays for an availability you have no use for. When you host and maintain yourself, and have the team to do it.
